Bahian government publishes tender for the purchase of two new ferries
It is expected that vessels will begin to be used in the first half of next year

The model must have up to eight years of construction or operation or up to 11,520 hours of operation. The minimum passenger capacity required is 1,200 people and 160 vehicles.
The opening of proposals from interested companies should take place on November 26th. Interested parties should contact us via email: [email protected]telephone (71) 3115-2174 or in person, from Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 6 pm at the Bahia Administrative Center (CAB), in the Annex Building – 1st floor – Ala B.
Managed by Internacional Travessias, the system currently has seven vessels operating. They are Anna Nery, Maria Bethânia, Pinheiro, Ivete Sangalo, Rio Paraguaçu. Zumbi dos Palmares and Dorival Caymmi. The new vessels are expected to begin operating in the first half of 2025.
