Bahian company speaks out after plane crash with no survivors

The Bahian company Abaeté Aviação spoke this Thursday morning (24) about the plane crash in São Paulo and confirmed that the victims were company employees. In total, five people were on the flight and all died. They were a commander, pilot, doctor, nurse and mechanic. The identity will only be disclosed after authorization from the families.

The tragedy occurred around 6:39 pm on Wednesday (23) after the plane crashed into a hill during a storm on the border between the cities of Paraibuna and Santa Branca (SP). This was a transfer flight that returned from Florianópolis (SC) towards Belo Horizonte (MG), taking off at 4:51 pm.

According to information from local authorities, the aircraft was found, but without survivors. “The company is welcoming families and offering all the necessary support in this moment of pain”, he says, in a note.

The cause of the accident is still unknown.
