Atlas in Curitiba: Pimentel has 57.5% of valid votes; Cristina Graeml, 42.5%

Atlas research released this Saturday, 26th, shows current vice-mayor Eduardo Pimentel (PSD) ahead of Cristina Graeml (PMB) in the race for mayor of Curitiba, with 57.5% against 42.5% of valid votes.
The AtlasIntel institute interviewed 1,221 respondents between October 20th and 25th via digital recruitment. The survey has a margin of error of three percentage points, plus or minus, and a confidence level of 95%. The survey was registered with the Electoral Court under number PR-08211/2024.
Considering the total votes, that is, including respondents who chose options other than the two candidates competing in the second round, Pimentel’s rate is 54.2% and Graeml’s, 40.1%. The rate of those who did not know how to respond is 0.9%, and the rate of blank or null votes is 4.8%.
Pimentel has a positive image for 50% of people, and a negative one for 34%, while 17% were unable to respond, according to the survey. Graeml’s positive rate is 41%, while 53% have a negative image, and another 7% were unable to answer
In Curitiba, Atlas also measured the approval of some leaders at local or national level. Governor Ratinho Júnior (PSD) is approved by 66% of people, and disapproved by 24%. The mayor of the capital, Rafael Greca (PSD), is approved by 57% of people, and disapproved by 32%. The positive rate for President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) is 36%, while the negative rate is 61%.
When asked what the main problems in Curitiba are today, 58.3% of respondents listed crime. Health was cited by 40.9%, the homeless population by 36.7%, the degradation of the city center by 27.9% and traffic jams by 27.3%.
