Police investigate the case
According to information from the Porto Seguro Civil Police, the body of João Rebello, who was 45 years old, was found in Praça da Independência. He was alone in the vehicle.
According to witnesses, two men on a motorcycle approached the car, shot at close range and fled.
Hours after her son’s death, Maria Rebello, the artist’s mother, posted an outburst on social media.
“I can’t close my eyes! Thank you for your words, I’m awake alone and Carol went to Trancoso! Violent land! They killed by mistake, they confused the car! He was living in a city where it seemed like a peaceful life with his wife Karine playing, partying with her sweetness? My mourning will be eternal,” he wrote.
