Former fighter André Mussi died at the age of 48 this Monday (21). The Bahian fell ill during training in Rio de Janeiro, the city where he lived. He was rescued, but he couldn’t resist and died.

Born in Salvador, André was one of the pioneers of MMA in Bahia, being responsible for organizing events such as Clube da Luta and Bahia Combat. The burial will take place in the capital of Bahia, but there is no further information yet. In his career, Mussi accumulated 11 wins and 5 losses between 2004 and 2010, in the heavyweight category.
