Accused of killing his ex-wife and ex-sister-in-law, Felipe Milbratz Ferreira, 42 years old, had his arrest converted into preventative this Wednesday (23), by court decision. The crime took place in Teixeira de Freitas, in the Far South of Bahia, on Monday afternoon. On the same day, the suspect was arrested.
Elaine Miranda de Araújo Milbratz, 41, and Hiane Miranda de Araújo Aguiar, 37, were shot dead inside the dealership in which the accused and the two sisters were partners.
The crime would have been motivated by a disagreement regarding the division of the ex-couple’s assets. Felipe was in a meeting with Elaine and Hiane at the store, which is in the city center, when he started to become aggressive and then pulled out a revolver and shot. He abandoned the weapon used in the crime and then fled in a car.
Felipe was arrested red-handed hours later, at Interchange in Posto da Mata, by a Military Police team. The suspicion is that he was trying to escape to Espírito Santo. Taken to the police station, Felipe preferred not to speak in testimony.
The case is investigated by the Specialized Women’s Assistance Police Station (Deam).
Elaine and Felipe were married for 12 years, but had been separated for five months. Together, they had twin sons who are currently 4 years old.
The family revealed that Elaine had a protective measure against Felipe, but he was authorized to approach her at meetings, as they were partners in the motorcycle dealership.
Hiane were also part of the society at the store. She was married to a pastor from an evangelical church and left a 5-year-old daughter.
