Accident on BA-451 leaves one person dead and another injured

A traffic accident left one person dead on BA-451, rural area of Santa Rita de Cássia, in the extreme west of Bahia. The crash between a truck and a passenger vehicle also left one person injured.
The victim’s body was removed from the wreckage by teams from the 17th Military Fire Brigade (17th BBM) of Barreiras. To recover the body, firefighters used specialized techniques. After the rescue, firefighters cleaned the track, which was covered in debris and oil due to the impact of the collision.
Another person was injured. She was rescued and taken to a health unit by a team from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu).
The Technical Police Department (DPT) was called to remove the body, as well as identify and carry out other legal procedures.
