A haircut is a simple and effective way to renew your look for the spring-summer season. With the arrival of warmer and sunnier days, opting for a new style brings lightness and freshness, as well as keeping up with the season’s trends.
Therefore, Wanderley Nunes, celebrity hairdresser and Keune Master Talent, tells us what the main hair trends are. According to him, the short ones will gain a lot of attention and will be among the most requested in salons!
1. Wolf cut

On Pinterest alone, searches for this messy cut built with layers and volume grew by 75%. On Google, the term is also trending in searches – which will certainly reflect on beauty salons! According to Wanderley Nunes, this cut is similar to two others already known: the shaggy hair and the mullet, however, a little shorter. The technique involves creating several thin layers, with frayed strands to increase volume, especially on the top of the head.
Due to its versatility, the cut is a great option for rounder faces, as well as being ideal for straight and wavy hair. “Recently, we have observed an increase in demand for this type of style in the salon, especially among people with a cool and urban profile. The cut attracts those who prefer a more casual look, with a ‘messy’ appearance that suggests that the hair dries naturally, without the use of heat sources”, explains the hairdresser.
2. Shaggy hair

Just like the wolf cut, the shaggy cut is layered and heavily layered, giving off a ‘messy’ look. What differentiates the two are the more defined and disconnected layers. Keune Master Talent explains that the purpose of the cut is to play with a combination of long and short locks, promoting a nostalgic 70s style. This approach creates a dynamic and ‘retro’ look, bringing a vintage touch to the modern look. It is worth mentioning that the cuts promote a movement to enhance the volume and real textures of the hair.
3. Contour bob

For those who want something more minimalist, this cut can be an excellent option. According to Wanderley, the contour bob is a personalized style that uses layers to shape the face. “The cut will highlight the facial features, in addition to accentuating the cheekbones and jawline, promoting a very sophisticated look”, explains the hairdresser. It is suitable for straight, wavy and curly hair, and is a good choice for oval, round or ‘heart’ shaped faces.
And to maintain the salon result when the finishing is done at home, the hair expert recommends the use of products that provide texture and definition to the strands, such as a repair oil or a modeling gel. “Choose finishers that have treatment assets, as they will be useful both for styling your hair and maintaining the desired style, as well as for providing softness, shine and hydration to the strands”, he indicates.
