The suffering of Dona Castorina (Fátima Patrício) in the soap opera No Rancho Fundo moves the public. Actress Fátima Patrício feels this firsthand because she is approached in different places by people who want to take the villain Blandina’s mother (Luisa Arraes) home. “There was a lot of feedback from the public. What I heard most was: ‘You’re not going to slap that daughter of yours in the face, are you?’. Well, she’s the dog sucking mango”, says the interpreter, laughing.

She states that she loved playing the character of six o’clock soap opera and Globo and reveals that Dona Castorina grew up precisely because the public loves her. “I didn’t think it would bear as much fruit as it did, because she was a tiny character. She stayed in Lapão da Beirada, but she [originalmente] I was going to leave”, confesses Fátima.

Dona Castorina would have left the city after not agreeing with her daughter’s marriage to Zé Beltino (Igor Fortunato). “I think it was something the director asked because, otherwise, I wouldn’t have been recording for a while. ‘Give it to Zé Beltino to take home’, so I stayed there at Zefa Leonel’s house [Andrea Beltrão]”, recalls the actress, who adds:

“In other words, it was all very empathetic. There was even this ‘let’s take Dona Castorina home’ thing in the plot, literally”, says the woman from Pernambuco, who had many scenes of crying and confiding that she finds it easy to let go of. tears fall.

At 64 years old, she felt very comfortable and secure in the role of a mother from the Northeast. A woman who hopes to see her daughter take the right path in the plot. “I don’t know what her ending is, but I don’t think it’s going to be good”, says Fátima.

Among the scenes she most enjoyed doing, the one of her farewell with Father Zezo stands out (Nanego Lira) when Castorina went to church to pray before returning to Salvador. Fátima says that the character will return in the last chapter, airing this Friday (1st), and will even find a boyfriend.

The recordings for No Rancho Fundo came to an end on October 19, and Fátima already has a new job practically guaranteed at the network. She just can’t say what it is yet because she hasn’t signed the contract, but she is very happy with the turn the soap opera has taken in her life.

The actress appears in soap operas since 1992 and dedicated his entire life to art, mainly to theater. She also teaches art therapy classes at a psychiatric clinic in Rio de Janeiro.
