Cast to play Maria de Fátima in the remake of Anything goesthe actress Bella Campos will face a very different challenge in the coming weeks. She was hired by MTV to present the new version of Luau, a format that was very successful in the 1990s and 2000s. The news was announced by the music channel this Wednesday (23) and confirmed by the artist herself.
“Hi, guys, as you already know, Luau MTV is back and, this time, I’m running this party. I’m very happy and very honored to be part of it, in this first edition we have a meeting of generations with L7nnon and Marcelo Falcão”, he added.
“Pedro Scooby She’s also there, commanding behind the scenes, and the wonderful Sarah Oliveira is also with us, I’m very happy to have met her, very honored to be here participating in all of this. So keep an eye out, a new edition and the same vibe”, promised Bella.
Just like the return of Kiss Sapowhich won sponsorship from a dating app, the return of Luau MTV will have the support of a beer brand. The recordings are taking place in Preá (CE), and the premiere is scheduled for this year — traditionally, the format is part of the summer schedule.
What was the MTV Luau like?
The iconic program of the 1990s and 2000s held an annual celebration of the arrival of summer. During the season, the brand brought together national and international music names to play by the sea, in the best acoustic format, with guitar and percussion, creating an atmosphere of celebration and connection between artists and fans.

The first edition aired in 1997 and the last in 2012, featuring presenters who were successful in their respective times, such as Carla Lamarca, Cuca Lazzarotto, Fernanda Lima, Sabrina ParlatoreSarah Oliveira, the twins Bia and Branca Feres and Ellen Jabour.
Among the artists who have participated over the years are Ivete Sangalo (1998), Charlie Brown Jr. (1999), Cássia Eller (2002), Titãs (2002) and Nando Reis (2007). The last edition featured a performance by the band Raimundos.
