A Band announced in the early afternoon of this Tuesday (29) that Ana Paula Padrão will leave her post as presenter of MasterChef Brazil at the end of 2025. The journalist has been with the project since the first edition, shown in September 2014. Among the various versions, such as those with children and professional chefs, she was in charge of 22 seasons of the reality show culinary.
The information was confirmed by the broadcaster itself in a press release. “In common agreement with the Band, Ana Paula Padrão ends her contract and ends her journey on MasterChef Brasil at the end of this year. The journalist was fundamental to the success of the attraction, which aired for the first time in September 2014, popularizing the gastronomy in the country”, explains the statement.
According to Band, Ana Paula will say goodbye during the next season – the special edition MasterChef Confeitaria -, which will be shown between November 19th and December 19th.
“I lived the best 10 years of my life on MasterChef and I had the privilege of seeing an entertainment product change the way Brazilians relate to food and being part of this process”, says the communicator, who goes further:
I just have to thank both the team, who so competently produces the program, and the Band for daring to make this bet.
MasterChef represented a career transition for Ana Paula, who until then was an anchor on the country’s main news programs such as Globo newspaper and the Record newspaper. The process was so successful that, today, some of the youngest viewers no longer know her in a journalistic vein.
