England head coach Steve Borthwick has named his 33-man squad for the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France.
The squad features a blend of experience and youth, with Dan Cole, Courtney Lawes and Ben Youngs all selected for their fourth World Cup. There are also first call-ups for Saracens’ Ben Earl and Toulouse’s Jack Willis.
Farrell will captain the side, with Genge and Lawes named vice-captains.

England are drawn in Pool D alongside Argentina, Japan, Samoa and the Chile.

They will begin their campaign against Argentina in Marseille on September 9, 2023.
Borthwick said: “We are excited to announce our squad for the Rugby World Cup. It is a talented group of players who have worked hard to earn their selection.
“We have a challenging pool but we are confident in our ability to compete and win. We are looking forward to the tournament and giving it our best.”
England are the defending champions, having won the World Cup in 2019. They are also the current Six Nations champions.
They will be looking to go one step further in France and win the tournament for the third time.
